Change
can happen gradually
Like
the ocean ebbing and flowing
Against
the sand dunes
Transforming
over time
The
gentle currents slowly invoke changes
On
the ocean floor
Almost
impossible to see the changes
But
they have occurred
Gently,
passively and in perfect harmony
Day
after day
Month
after month
Year
after year
Sculpting
the ocean bed
And
creating minuscule changes
That
are difficult to discern
Below
the depths of the ocean
The
changes in nature
Do
not happen haphazardly
They
are tuned into the cycles of the moon
Following
the command of Mother Earth
And
doing things they are meant to do
No
questioning
No
hesitation
Just
doing.
But
change can also happen suddenly
Without
warning
Changes
can erupt and transform everything in an instant
That
nothing appears the same as it was before
Earthquakes,
hurricanes, typhoons and tornadoes
Can
wreak havoc on those who were affected
They
happen so suddenly
Slamming
into people’s lives
And
changing the landscape of how things used to be
Yet
they are part of nature
Part
of those gentle currents
And
soft breezes
Yet
sometimes they bring danger and death
And
change is inevitable
